The Commandor 116 accompanied the Claas combine harvester era in the last decade of the last millennium - the performance of the model built from 1993 to 1995 was already considered groundbreaking back then. Today, this self-propelled vehicle has long been a youngtimer legend, which is of course still in use on numerous farms. The cutting width of the combine harvester is six meters. The Commandor is powered by an eight-cylinder engine that delivers 276 hp. The track width at the front is 2.75 meters and at the rear it is up to 2.90 meters. The driver's cab has a comfortable full-view cabin with a fan and filter, but also a compressor cooling system and heating. The model is at least 3.80 meters high at the upper edge of the grain tank. Without the cutting carriage, the Commandor 116 is 7.70 meters long. The weight of the self-propelled machine, also without the cutterbar, is 11.75 tonnes "Cylinder-System" (CS) with eight separation cylinders. In 1981 the new system was presented for the first time in the Dominator 116 CS. This machine continued to work with a 1.58 meter wide threshing drum. Behind the drum were eight separating cylinders with separating baskets arranged underneath. The task of the concave was to separate as many grains as possible from the straw. The straw was taken over by the separating cylinders and forced to be transported to the straw hood. This type of conveyance resulted in an even flow of the crop. The grains could be separated very effectively from the thin layer of straw. Both the distance between the separating concaves and the speed of the separating cylinders can be adjusted to suit the crop. To better distinguish between the machines with shakers and cylinder system, the CS machines were renamed Commandor from 1986. In 1990, a Claas Commandor even set the world record for harvesting 358 tons of wheat in eight hours. Claas continued to produce combine harvesters with the CS system until 1995. Transport trolley for easy loading of the mowerThe combine harvester is supplied by WIKING with a grain header and header trailer. The details of the model are diverse and flexibly arranged, so that a large number of functions make it possible to imitate the model operation true to the original. Of course, the wheels are miniaturized to rotate as well as the precise mobility of the steerable rear wheels, which also make the 1:32 precision model appear incredibly manoeuvrable. The mirrors can be folded in and out on the full-view cab, which has a finely reproduced interior. The ladder is rotatably arranged. As in field operation, the mount for the mower can be adjusted in height. The grain tank can be opened also has an integrated and movable auger that can be extended upwards. The unloading tube can be rotated and swiveled out as far as in field use, while the crop tray at the rear can be adjusted to three positions. The mower reel can be rotated with its individual tines as in harvesting operations, but can also be separated for road transport. The transport trolley is then suitable for easy loading of the mower. This can of course be attached to the Commandor. but can also be separated for road transport.
