Tamiya are delighted to announce the appearance of the U.S Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 in the 1/48 Military Miniature Series for the first time.
Although they have released the M8 kit in the 1/35 Military Miniature Series before (Items 35110, 35312), this kit features totally new design based upon the intensive research of the actual vehicle. With the design based upon the M5 light tank chassis, the M8 featured an open-top turret and 75mm M3 howitzer.
From September 1942 to early 1944, around 1,800 units were produced. M8s saw action in Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific, and supported U.S. infantry until the end of the war.
This models is produced in unpainted parts and will need painting and gluing to complete. We recommend any of the following glues for construction.

- Includes two marking options to depict the 106th Cavalry Reconnaissance Group, Germany or the 758th Tank Battalion, Italy.
- Metal chassis weights give the model a realistic heavy feel.
- Comes with one full body commander figure.

Here at House of Hobbies, all orders are sent via Royal Mail 48HR Tracked and will normally be dispatched within 2 to 3 working days of acceptance of order. Items marked as 'Available' will typically be shipped within 7-14 days as we call them in from supply

Returns
Sometimes things don't work out, and that's fine! We are happy to issue refunds for new, unopened items that have been sold and fulfilled here at House of Hobbies, within 30 days of delivery. Return costs for non faulty items are at the buyers expense. We will not issue refunds for multiple purchases of the same product at all so this should be taken into consideration when purchasing quantities of an item, whether for collecting or resale. Refunds on returned Pre Ordered items will only be issued as store credit.
Your refund will be sent to you after we have received the product back, and you should receive a full refund within four weeks at the latest (but in most cases, it will be far quicker - this time period just covers transit time for us receive the product back, send it to our distributor, and get a new one back if necessary, then have your refund processed by the bank). We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
If you need to send something back then please package it accordingly and post it to House of Hobbies, Unit F, Platts Lane Industrial Estate, Burscough, West Lancashire, L40 7TP and please include a little note explaining why it's coming back to us and your order number.
