Details
The Spitfire is probably the most legendary aircraft of the Second World War.
It was built in countless variations continuously until well after the end of the Second World War.
Over 22,500 were built. The 12 cylinder Merlin engine with initially 1,175 bhp designed specifically
for the Spitfire was so outstanding, that it was also built under license in the USA.
The RAF had already introduced the Spitfire Mk I into their Fighter Wings before the beginning of the Second World War.
They proved their capability in the Battle of Britain.
The first Spitfire Mk II left the factory in Castle Bromwich as early as August 1940.
It was now fitted with a 3-blade propeller as standard and received additional armour for the pilot.
A total of 990 Mk II Spitfires were built. In addition to its role as an interceptor, the Spitfire also saw
service as a fighter bomber and photo-reconnaissance aircraft.

Returns
Sometimes things don't work out, and that's fine! We are happy to issue refunds for new, unopened items that have been sold and fulfilled here at House of Hobbies, within 30 days of delivery. Return costs for non faulty items are at the buyers expense. We will not issue refunds for multiple purchases of the same product at all so this should be taken into consideration when purchasing quantities of an item, whether for collecting or resale. Refunds on returned Pre Ordered items will only be issued as store credit.
Your refund will be sent to you after we have received the product back, and you should receive a full refund within four weeks at the latest (but in most cases, it will be far quicker - this time period just covers transit time for us receive the product back, send it to our distributor, and get a new one back if necessary, then have your refund processed by the bank). We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
If you need to send something back then please package it accordingly and post it to House of Hobbies, Unit F, Platts Lane Industrial Estate, Burscough, West Lancashire, L40 7TP and please include a little note explaining why it's coming back to us and your order number.
