Prototype
German Federal Railroad (DB) class 50 heavy freight locomotive with a type 2´2´T26 standard tender converted to a cab tender. Version with 3 boiler superstructures and Witte smoke deflectors. Use for heavy freight trains. The car looks as it did in Era III, road number 50 1019.
Shortly before the start of the Second World War, the series 50 machines were the last “so-called” standard steam locomotives. They were soon to become the happiest design of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, because the around 1,600 hp and 80 km/h fast machines were universally applicable, robust and reliable . A major problem with DB freight trains in the 1950s was the so-called freight train escort wagons, which still had to carry the train driver and possibly one or more shunters. From 1961, as part of the rationalization and modernization of traffic and operations, the tenders of 730 locomotives of the BR 50 were given driver's cabins (cabin tenders) with a wide worktop and table lamp, upholstered folding seat, two emergency seats, folding hand basin, ceiling light, two shelves and steam heating. Road number 50 1019 (from 1968: 051 019), which was based at the Rottweil depot for many years and was finally stationed in Ulm, also had such a cabin tender and only had to quit service on May 30, 1976.

Manufactured in bronze with a newly designed locomotive body. Bell-shaped armature motor with drive on all coupled axles. Dark wheel rims and linkage parts. Finely detailed fully working linkage/controls. Replica of the brakes, sand downpipes, rail clearers, pickups on both sides. Enlarged buffer plates. Prototypical colouring and lettering. Printed on the frame of the tender window.

Returns
Sometimes things don't work out, and that's fine! We are happy to issue refunds for new, unopened items that have been sold and fulfilled here at House of Hobbies, within 30 days of delivery. Return costs for non faulty items are at the buyers expense. We will not issue refunds for multiple purchases of the same product at all so this should be taken into consideration when purchasing quantities of an item, whether for collecting or resale. Refunds on returned Pre Ordered items will only be issued as store credit.
Your refund will be sent to you after we have received the product back, and you should receive a full refund within four weeks at the latest (but in most cases, it will be far quicker - this time period just covers transit time for us receive the product back, send it to our distributor, and get a new one back if necessary, then have your refund processed by the bank). We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
If you need to send something back then please package it accordingly and post it to House of Hobbies, Unit F, Platts Lane Industrial Estate, Burscough, West Lancashire, L40 7TP and please include a little note explaining why it's coming back to us and your order number.
