The world's first sleeper / seat dual-purpose DC train 581 which appeared in 1967, was newly added in 1968 by the completion of the double line of the Tohoku Main Line and electrification work. Improvements have been added as a 50/60 Hz dual-use 583 system compatible with the 50 Hz interchange in the East Japan region. The daytime express was "Hatsukari", and the night sleeper was "Hakutsuru" as "Yuzuru" and began to be active between Ueno and Aomori.
Currently, it remains in the Akita vehicle center of JR East, and since it has become a set configuration that can reproduce the existing six-car formation active in group trains, it can be enjoyed by a wide generation from JNR era to JR.
KATO has been commercialized with a lineup that can reproduce various formations in Tohoku and Kansai at the time of the October diamond revision in 1958 (1978), following the Legend Collection 581 series and also known as the definitive edition.
Main features
? Commercialized the popular 583 series limited express form direct current train with a new mold. Have the train formation of the heyday at hand.
? The glamorous JNR era of the mid Showa 50's. The trains can be reproduced in various ways such as "Hatsukari", "Yuzuru", "Shinjori" and "Akesei".
? The seat in the car reproduces the state of the night sleeper. By removing the mid-level bed parts, it is also possible to reproduce daytime seating conditions.
? The newly appeared Kuhan 583 and Mohane 582 are faithfully reproduced with a new mold that looks different from the 581 series, such as the arrangement of windows and arrangement of roof ventilators.
? The top model KHANA 583 reproduces features such as a tie phone cover for cold regions. The dummy coupler at the top is set with the connector cover attached.
? The roof top cooler is a separate part. The push-in type ventilator is arranged in a straight line and reproduces the roof of atmosphere different from the 581 series.
? Faithful reproduction of the embedded door slips, different from the 581 series.

Returns
Sometimes things don't work out, and that's fine! We are happy to issue refunds for new, unopened items that have been sold and fulfilled here at House of Hobbies, within 30 days of delivery. Return costs for non faulty items are at the buyers expense. We will not issue refunds for multiple purchases of the same product at all so this should be taken into consideration when purchasing quantities of an item, whether for collecting or resale. Refunds on returned Pre Ordered items will only be issued as store credit.
Your refund will be sent to you after we have received the product back, and you should receive a full refund within four weeks at the latest (but in most cases, it will be far quicker - this time period just covers transit time for us receive the product back, send it to our distributor, and get a new one back if necessary, then have your refund processed by the bank). We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
