The Kiha 40 series is a standard diesel-powered vehicle (diesel car) that was born as a successor to the Kiha 20 series. It appeared in 1977 (1977) and replaced the previous model of the Kiha 20 series and earlier. Equipped with an easy-to-use engine and finished in a well-balanced vehicle, the width of the vehicle and the cab are expanded, and the exterior window is characterized by an aluminum sash unit-type double-stage window.
KATO will newly create Kiha 470 with a toilet for Kiha 47 1000 in order to expand Kiha 40 series lineup. In addition, for re-production of Kiha 40 series, we will also change the car number and affiliation notation simultaneously.
Main features
? The Kiha 40 series is a new series that has been remodeled in both body and engine, and is an indispensable form to reproduce JNR and JR non-electrically elective sections. You can enjoy a wide variety of formations, such as a long line formation and a combination of Kiha 20 and Kiha 58 systems, from a single-line to 2-3 series short arrangement that is ideal for small layouts.

Here at House of Hobbies, all orders are sent via Royal Mail 48HR Tracked and will normally be dispatched within 2 to 3 working days of acceptance of order. Items marked as 'Available' will typically be shipped within 7-14 days as we call them in from supply

Returns
Sometimes things don't work out, and that's fine! We are happy to issue refunds for new, unopened items that have been sold and fulfilled here at House of Hobbies, within 30 days of delivery. Return costs for non faulty items are at the buyers expense. We will not issue refunds for multiple purchases of the same product at all so this should be taken into consideration when purchasing quantities of an item, whether for collecting or resale. Refunds on returned Pre Ordered items will only be issued as store credit.
Your refund will be sent to you after we have received the product back, and you should receive a full refund within four weeks at the latest (but in most cases, it will be far quicker - this time period just covers transit time for us receive the product back, send it to our distributor, and get a new one back if necessary, then have your refund processed by the bank). We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
If you need to send something back then please package it accordingly and post it to House of Hobbies, Unit F, Platts Lane Industrial Estate, Burscough, West Lancashire, L40 7TP and please include a little note explaining why it's coming back to us and your order number.
