More than 50 years after the prototype's first flight, the long-range bomber TU-22M still represents a serious weapon system. To ensure that it remains so for years to come, a modernization program is currently underway for some of the aircraft that are still operational. The modernizations will turn the bomber, which is powered by two powerful jet turbines, into the TU-22M3M, which made its maiden flight in prototype form in December 2018. A distinctive feature of the bomber is its wings, which can be adjusted from 20 to 65 degrees, and its good takeoff and landing characteristics, which allow economical cruise flight for a long range or fully retracted high speeds up to twice the sonic range. The TU-22M3 is also capable of launching cruise missiles against targets from long range, thus avoiding entering the dangerous range of enemy air defenses. By 1993 the manufacturer in Kazan had built 514 TU-22Ms of various series, most of them in the M3 variant. At least 60 of these still exist today, not all of them are operationally ready and not all of them will be able to be upgraded to the M3M standard. Those mainly include the use of improved navigation and communication systems.

Returns
Sometimes things don't work out, and that's fine! We are happy to issue refunds for new, unopened items that have been sold and fulfilled here at House of Hobbies, within 30 days of delivery. Return costs for non faulty items are at the buyers expense. We will not issue refunds for multiple purchases of the same product at all so this should be taken into consideration when purchasing quantities of an item, whether for collecting or resale. Refunds on returned Pre Ordered items will only be issued as store credit.
Your refund will be sent to you after we have received the product back, and you should receive a full refund within four weeks at the latest (but in most cases, it will be far quicker - this time period just covers transit time for us receive the product back, send it to our distributor, and get a new one back if necessary, then have your refund processed by the bank). We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
If you need to send something back then please package it accordingly and post it to House of Hobbies, Unit F, Platts Lane Industrial Estate, Burscough, West Lancashire, L40 7TP and please include a little note explaining why it's coming back to us and your order number.
